Endorsement: Joel Spoonheim
Plymouth voters have an important choice for mayor this year. Both Jeff Wosje and Clark Gregor are civil, thoughtful people, and I want to be clear that Jeff's years of service to Plymouth deserve real respect. But the difference between them is significant, and it comes down to this: Jeff was a capable leader during Plymouth's easy era, when development happened on vacant land without much conflict. Clark is the leader Plymouth needs now, as we enter a more complex and challenging chapter.
Our candidates for mayor represent a cheerleader during easy times or a champion for challenging times. I’m endorsing Plymouth’s champion…Clark Gregor.
Having served with both candidates, I see first-hand that Clark listens earnestly to everyone, anticipates challenges, researches and finds solutions, builds partnerships, and gets results. He’s spent years persistently working to get policies approved that will lower energy costs for residents and businesses, create more housing choices, and maintain excellent city services while keeping our tax rate one of the lowest in the
region.
Clark also understands something essential about leadership right now: that open, public debate builds trust, and that residents deserve a mayor who brings every voice to the table before decisions are made.
Clark persists because Plymouth is his home. Clark grew up here and is raising his young kids here. He’s going to be here living with decisions he makes. That takes courage, the courage we’ve seen as he leans in and pulls people together to move Plymouth forward. Vote Clark Gregor for Plymouth Mayor.
