Empowering Community Growth Through Local Initiatives: My Testimony to the MN House Tax Committee

Yesterday, I had the honor of presenting testimony to the Minnesota House Taxes Committee about an important proposal for the City of Plymouth. Our city is seeking approval to let voters decide on a half-cent local sales tax. This tax would fund three key recreation projects that will benefit tens of thousands of residents and visitors across the west metro and the broader Twin Cities region.

These projects include expanding and renovating the Plymouth Ice Center, building a permanent Fieldhouse at the Plymouth Community Center, and creating the Four Seasons Regional Sports Complex.
Community-Driven Improvements
These projects are not just about buildings and facilities. They are about responding to what the community has told us it needs. Residents have expressed a desire for safer, more accessible, and more efficient recreational spaces. By investing in these improvements, Plymouth can create lasting benefits for families, athletes, and visitors.
I invite you to watch the video of my testimony to the House Taxes Committee to learn more about these exciting projects and how they will shape the future of recreation in Plymouth.
